I enjoy mentoring early-stage startup founders, when there is good chemistry within the dyad – trusted relationships are key in extracting emotional reward. It is good fun identifying investment targets amongst the constant inflow of startups, especially if you are the first one to see something in it the others did not notice yet. Academic research of entrepreneurial mentoring is intellectually stimulating and professionally rewarding too, as it organises my professional experiences into a systematic framework.

My ambition is to put entrepreneurial mentoring on a solid scientific footing by bringing in knowledge that exist in other domains of developmental interventions, and developing and deploying an AI-enabled tool – Mentormatic – grounded in my academic research and professional practice, allowing mentors and coaches to focus on the val  ue-adding activities for their clients.
